He pitched effectively in the bullpen, going 2-2 with a 2.52 ERA in 38 relief appearances. The Phillies have told Myers that he will not be back. They have declined Feliz&#39;s $5.5 million club option, which means they are exploring other options at third base. Stairs seems unlikely to return, unless they bring him back on a minor-league deal. It sounds like the Phillies will look elsewhere for a backup catcher. Martinez also seems unlikely to return because the Phillies already have Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, Joe Blanton, J.A. Despite all the worries about losing the big 3, our recievers will do just fine. Powell looks more explosive than D-Wheels. Moye looks like a taller Bryant Johnson. I couldn&#39;t believe the Zuggernaut dropped two balls, but he made some good plays too. And Devon Smith will get lots of chances to show off his world class speed. If he can learn to field punts, he&#39;d be really scary. We shouldn&#39;t have to put Royster back there. Brackett did dissapoint me, though.</p> <p>2. The Offensive line is young and needs to mature, but I have a lot of hope for this group. The only returning starters have moved to new positions. Landolt from RT to LT and Wisniewski from LG to C. But LG Stankewitz and RT Pannell are going to be studs. And Eliades should become a solid player with experience.</p> <p>3. We might be in trouble if Royster goes down. Green just cannot run inside. Akron was stacking the box, but we should still have been able to run against them in the 2nd half. We need to get him in the open field. I wish we could have seen more out of Beechum Saturday. </p> <p>4. Despite losing all those starters to the NFL/injuries/arrests, we should once again have one of the best front sevens in the nation. Jack Crawford should follow in the footsteps of Tamba Hali and will eventually be a first round pick. The guy never even played football until his junior year of high school. Its scary to see how good he&#39;ll be as a senior. Odrick is good as always. Ogbu impressed me as well. It will be interesting to see how the younger guys progress as the season goes on. Latham, Latimore, and Still look like beasts.</p> <p>5. My heart skipped a beat after Sean Lee&#39;s first tackle for loss. He looks like he hasn&#39;t lost anything and I&#39;ve heard he&#39;s also gotten stronger. Stupar looked awsome after Bowman got hurt. Hull and Gbadju should be solid in the middle. PSU&#39;s depth at LB has just been amazing the past couple years. Mauti is out and we can still redshirt Colesanti this year.</p> <p>6. Nick Sukay will be liability at Hero. I wish they would move Astorino back there and have Dailey or Hodges play the free safety position. Timmons is adequate, and Lynn has tons of potential, but how is an amazing athlete like AJ Wallace not starting. Is he really that dumb?</p> <p>7. Hopefully, Anthony Fera is not the next David Kimball. A blue-chip recruit kicker who can&#39;t even win the job.
